What a pool is
A pool is an ordered list of messages. A campaign draws from its pools; each contact moves through a pool at their own position, so two contacts enrolled a week apart each start at message 1.
Pool types
- Nurture is the standard sequence. Limited stops at the last message; recurring starts over.
- Alert: a new message added to an alert pool goes to everyone next, ahead of whatever they were due (preemption).
- Scheduled: a window (dates, days, times). Outside the window nothing sends; when the window closes the pool hard-stops.
Position
A contact's position advances each time they receive a message from that pool. Removing a message shifts positions after it; adding at the end does not disturb anyone.
