Connecting HubSpot
mxAURA needs a connection to the HubSpot portal that will send the email. Settings → Connected platforms → Connect HubSpot opens HubSpot's authorization screen; approve it with a HubSpot user who is a super admin on that portal (HubSpot requires that for the permissions mxAURA asks for).
What the connection is used for
Writing message content into contact properties before a send, reading templates and owners, and receiving the workflow action. mxAURA never sends email itself.
"Needs reconnecting"
HubSpot revokes access when the authorizing user is removed from the portal or after long inactivity. Sends are blocked rather than lost until you reconnect. The campaign shows the reason and the bell notifies you. Reconnect from the same Settings page; nothing else needs to change.
Starter vs Professional
Starter portals have no standalone workflows, so mxAURA uses a form-submission pattern there; Professional and above use the workflow action directly. mxAURA detects the tier; you do not choose.
Test, Repair and Reconnect
Settings > Integrations shows the HubSpot connection with three buttons.
- Test proves the connection now. It asks HubSpot for a new token, uses it, then checks that every mxAURA property is in HubSpot and usable in forms. Each check reads Pass, Fail, or Could not tell (HubSpot did not answer; nothing is assumed).
- Repair appears when Test finds properties missing or not usable in forms. It creates and switches on only those. Nothing else in HubSpot is changed.
- Radar access, the last line of Test, is information, not a pass or fail: whether Radar can read deals and companies in this portal. Reconnect grants them when they are missing. Sending never needs them.
- Reconnect signs in to HubSpot again for this account. Use it when Test says HubSpot no longer accepts the connection, for example after the app was uninstalled there. Nothing in mxAURA is lost.
- Disconnect stops dispatch for this account until you connect again.
Always start a connection from here. An install started from HubSpot's side cannot tell mxAURA which account to connect, and lands on a page that sends you back to this one.
A connection has to be finished in the same browser that started it, within fifteen minutes. If it says it was started in a different session, press Connect again.
