Composition: why pieces, not documents

Most marketing tools treat an email as a document: you write it, you send it, it is done. Change your tagline and you edit forty documents, or you do not, and forty emails now disagree with each other.

Aura Marketing™ treats an email as a composition of pieces that exist independently:

The cost is a few minutes of thinking in pieces at the start. The return is that your fortieth email costs a fraction of your first, and that consistency is the default rather than a discipline.

This is also what makes agency distribution possible at all. You cannot distribute a document to twelve portals and keep it coherent; you can distribute a composition, because the pieces that must differ per client — sender, branding, portal — are resolved when it sends, not when you wrote it.
