The Chrome extension
The mxAURA Chrome extension works inside HubSpot's email editor. It inserts tokens where they belong, imports the email into mxAURA as a template, and checks that what is in HubSpot matches what mxAURA has.
Install
- Open the Chrome Web Store and search mxAURA, or use the link on Show Me How → Documents.
- Add to Chrome, then pin it (the puzzle-piece icon → pin) so it stays visible.
- Click the icon once and sign in with your mxAURA account. It remembers you.
In the editor
Open any HubSpot marketing email in the editor.
- Purple mxAURA links appear next to From name, From address, Subject and Preview. Click to insert the right token.
- Click inside a module and the toolbar gains an mxAURA button with every field and the tracking block.
- The envelope button at the bottom right opens the panel: import or re-import the template, see which tokens are in place, search the token list, and run a walkthrough.
Show me how
The panel's Show me how section runs a guided walkthrough on the real editor. It points at the next thing to do, and moves on by itself when it sees you did it. You can stop and resume; it remembers where you were.
When something is off
- No mxAURA links or button. Reload the editor tab. The extension attaches when the editor finishes loading. A greyed-out icon means you are signed out.
- Panel says the portal is not connected. This HubSpot portal is not linked to your mxAURA account. Connect it in mxAURA under Settings → Integrations.
- Token shows as text in the email. It was put in the wrong kind of box. See Which token goes where.
