Authors: bylines on articles
An author is a byline: name, title, photo, bio and links. Every article carries one; a template can name a default author so new articles start with it.
Authors are not seats. A person who signs in to write is a user (Account, Users); an author is the name readers see, and the two need not match. A guest contributor can be an author without ever signing in.
An author's voice notes are read by AI Assist when drafting that author's articles, so pieces by the same person sound like them.
Authors appear on cards, on article pages, in the feed and in the share card's structured data. Deleting an author is refused while articles carry the byline; reassign them first.
