Articles and the editor
An article is written once in the library and placed in one or more hubs. Its template (Hubs, Templates) decides which fields it has; the editor shows them.
Creating
New, choose a template, then Create Manually or AI Assisted. Either way the article starts as Untitled; AI Assisted opens it with a draft already running. Its address (the slug) starts as a placeholder such as untitled-3. The first save that carries a real title, typed by you or written by AI Assist, sets the slug from that title. After that the slug only changes if you change it, and it is never changed for you once the article has been live.
The editor
- The template can be switched on the article page with Type. The fields change at once, so a whitepaper's own fields are there to fill in; the change is kept when you Save. A field both templates have keeps its content. A field only the old template has is hidden, its content is kept, and it comes back if you switch back.
- Links in the body: Link with text selected turns it into a link; with nothing selected the address becomes the link text. Open in a new window is on by default. Click an existing link to edit or remove it; Ctrl-click opens it.
- Hero image: the picture on the card and the article page. Show whole image (no crop) shows the entire image over a blurred copy instead of cropping, for covers with words on them.
- Social image: what share cards use; see Share cards.
- Sources on the right: pages and documents the AI may draw on. Only the name shows.
- Author, Category (the pill on the card) and Tags.
SEO title and description
Search shows the article's title when it is 60 characters or fewer, and its subtitle when that is 50 to 160 characters. In those cases the SEO title and meta description are left blank on purpose, and AI Assist leaves them blank too: the boxes say which field search uses instead. Write in them only to show search something different.
Draft, Live, Paused
Every article is in one of three states, shown beside its title and in the State column.
- Draft: a new article. It previews in mxAURA and cannot be added to a hub.
- Live: hubs can add and publish it. Set Live on the article, or Edit on several in Articles.
- Paused: hidden on every hub and site. It stays in each hub, listed there as Paused, and shows again the moment it is Live. Pause on the article.
Saved changes reach every hub it is published in within about a minute, whatever the state.
Publishing to hubs
Publish to hubs on the article, or on several ticked in Articles: tick the hubs, and under each the widgets that show chosen articles, then Publish now, Schedule or Add, do not publish yet. Required fields are checked, as in the hub. A Draft or Paused article is set Live first if you leave that ticked, and skipped if you untick it. Each hub's Gallery tab still publishes, schedules or unpublishes it there.
Claims
The Claims tab lists the approved Evidence claims the article states. Code finds a claim by its words, link or figure; confirm it or press Not this. Add one by hand when it is stated in other words. Pick the appeal the article makes. Tags hold for the article's words at that time. After an edit, confirm again. Radar, Claims then credits the article's claims to the contacts who reached it from a send.
Deleting
Delete removes the article from every hub and widget. Each hub it was live in sends its old address (and any old slug) to the hub's home page with a permanent redirect, listed on that hub's Redirects tab.
